Noah (Movie Review)

I must say I was excited at first then left very disappointed. Halfway through the film, I wanted to turn it off. Even the recent movie "Son of God" was much better. As movies go, the action is entertaining but the plot is nothing close to the biblical account. There is not... Continue Reading →

The Keeper (Movie review)

The Keeper is really a keeper. I'll tell you why. As usual, it starts with a back story that has no bearing on the story at all. Seagal is betrayed by his partner, a greedy cop, on a drug money bust. Seagal is shot multiple times but his partner didn't bother to check if he... Continue Reading →

Mercenary for Justice (Movie review)

This show was illogical and ridiculous. I understood nothing of what was happening throughout the whole show but I still enjoyed it. Sounds like the fantastic Out for Justice but way way lousier. It stars Mr Ponytail as John Seeger, a mercenary. He's fighting against the French in war torn Africa for unknown reasons. That's... Continue Reading →

Against the Dark (Movie review)

Another movie review of Steven Seagal. This one looked promising. Even the subtitle sounds cool. Seagal is Tao, a Hunter of zombies/vampires. This guy just likes to kill, period. He's not exactly a main character but appears sporadically with his katana to show some brutal love. The movie follows a group of survivors as they... Continue Reading →

Mid-year resolutions

Half the year has gone by. For some, it was in a blink of an eye. For others, it was slow and excruciating like detention class. However it went for you, claim this verse today: Philippians 3:13-14 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing... Continue Reading →

Batista “wins” MMA debut!

I'm an avid wrestling fan but this is really stupid. This year, Dave "The Animal" Batista returned to WWE after filming "Guardians of the Galaxy". Suddenly, he won the Royal Rumble as the last entry! Which definitely was a deal he cut before returning. But people booed him anyway. After a few months, forming Evolution and losing many easy... Weighing in on the Hydropreneur Programme

My brother’s insightful dissection of the Hydropreneur Program with sharp brains and even an sharper tongue.

Clewor

Oh, it has already been a month since the Singapore International Water Week! And it’s best that I write a closing post to wrap up on my journey as a participant of the inaugural HPP.

There were 17 teams in all who submitted their business cases/proposals to the team of reviewers. Our team, SnapSense, ended up being selected for the final 11 to pitch before the reviewing committee. Only the top 6 would make it to the stage at Hydro pitch day at SIWW to present before an audience consisting of investors, VCs, etc.

So off we went to the Env building downtown at Newton, where we worked on the last touches to our deck. (Deck = pitch deck = PowerPoint slides). Up till now it was always Seth who had been pitching, but I decided to give it a shot this time. I had rehearsed with the team and…
